Epiphone Bass Appraisal for Cashiers
Music Company
I
have played this bass for 3 years in a variety of settings
ranging from orchestra to jazz combo. While not a real
"looker", this bass has a mature sound with good
projection. It has an Eb neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and
a ply top. I estimate the instrument is 60+ years old. The
neck has been broken during it's life, but has been
properly repaired. There are no markings in the body of the
instrument.
This instrument has been properly stored, maintained, and
transported during my possession. I installed a H&K
Golden Trinity Bass Max System in 2005. In 2006, I had the
instrument inspected by Daniel at Sylvalia Violins
(Asheville, NC) and had all recommend structural repairs
made to the top, ribs, and back. To further return the bass
to optimum playing condition, I recommend that a new bridge
be fitted, the fingerboard dressed, and a new set of tuners
be fitted.
